No brake lights

sometimes my brake lights work sometimes they dont under normal braking foot pedal pressure....If i push the pedal as hard as i can they will always come on, any thoughts?[addsig]

Perhaps the brake light switch is sticking or something?

check under the dash where the brake pedal arm and the brake switch meet,maybe something is in the way,a wire?
