94 GC, No speedometer and overhead information console

I have a 94 GC limited with the 5.2L. I replaced the O2 sensor and now the speedometer and overhead information console does not work. I ran a diagnostic test and it came back with a bad speed sensor. I changed the sensor and still nothing. I re-ran the diagnostic test and it still said the speed sensor was bad. The tach, temp, oil psi and fuel gauges still work, just not the speedometer. I don't know if the O2 sensor had anything to do with the problem I am having now or not.
Has anyone had this problem before or know of anything else I can try???

Check the wiring for the speed sensor, and check that the speedo gear is engaging the transfercase mainshaft.
