Transmission or Transfer case leak?

There's a small weep hole between where the auto trans and transfer case bolt together on my '97 Grand Cherokee that is starting to drip. Is this the transfer case leaking or the transmission leaking? Anybody else had this happen?

id say its the rear seal on the transmission but im fairly new to the 4x4 scene so it could be the front seal on the t-case....or both god forbid
what color is the fluid
is your transmission fluid low
is your t-case fluid low
can you get a pic for us to look at

Doesn't leak much, maybe a couple oz. over several days.
Color is a dark reddish
Can't provide pic
Checked the transmission fluid level and it's ok
Haven't checked the transfer case level because I haven't got a 10mm allen head socket (yet) will have to stop and pick one up so I can check it

I'm guessing rear seal in transmission, as the TC input fits into this seal.

Thanks for the advise, once I seperate the 2 I'm sure I'll see which one is leaking but it's always nice to know what you're getting in to....thanks again

dont forget to have a 12 pk or a some jacks on hand for those busted knuckle moments lol
