Strange fill plug

I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, 2.5LT four cylinder, 4WD, 5SPD Manual transmission. I was going to change the transmission fluid today but had a hard time finding the drain and fill plugs, found the fill plug but it looks like a larger version of a star drive, recessed in the center with what looks like its keyed for a specific type of tool, does anyone have any idea what this is and what type of socket I would use to remove it? Where is the drain plug on this transmission? the Chilton's Manual I have gives a couple of different locations for it but am having a hard time find it.

Thanks.

drain plug should be on the bottom and the fill plug on the drivers side of the trans.
Star shaped screw sockets. I want to say I used the T55 Socket but it was a couple of years ago....

The fill plug uses a torx bit. Buy a set, you'll need them over and over again on your jeep. The drain plug is on the very bottom about 3/4 of the way down the transmission. Just a large bolt.
