Welcome to the Z.

What's your stock axle gear ratio and what size tires do you plan on running?

If you have the 4.0L engine, XJ's generally have 3.07 gears with the 5spd and 3.55 gears with the auto.

If you want an inexpensive option, scour the junkyards for a 2.5L equipped XJ with a 5spd, chances are you can nab the 4.10 rear axle. Another good option is the rear axle from a '95+ Ford Explorer, they can be found with 4.10 gears, have disc brakes, and same wheel lug pattern as the Cherokee. They can also be found with a limited slip differential, watch for the 4L10 tag bolted to the diff cover.

thank you very much Im going to get right on that my main goal right now is to find some new finders but once im done with that im going do the gearing
thank you once again.
