95 limited jeep grand cherokee electical issues

I've been having electical issues with my jeep. When using A/C for a period of time, The valt endicator drops below 14v inwich causes the engine to shut down. This recently happened to my father in a parking lot. He was using the A/C and complained about have trouble starting the car. Any ideas?

Voltage drop below 11.5 volts may start to affect your engine performance. Anything over that but doesn't exeed the specified range of the rate of charge should not kill your engine.

When it gets below 14vs I start to worry because it doesn't like to start up again. Its almost like the A/C is draining the battery

Is this a 4.0 or 5.2?. This diagram shows a possible association of the Alternator and the A/C compressor in the same circuit.

4.0 should I check the circuit for shorts?

That would be what i would do. possibly a faulty clamping diode on the A/C compressor as well.
