i am currently on a road trip going back home from a summer job and this morning i hit the halfway mark... and it seems that there is something odd with my clutch.
1st of all it has the 4 liter and it is a five speed manual transmission. the problem occurs when i have the clutch pushed in and i have the gear stick in an actual gear. the sound it creates is almost like a grinding sound, like something metal is spinning and it keeps rubbing on something else metal. what could that be? is it safe to drive 400 miles back home? when it is in gear and im applying gas and not pressing the clutch it works just fine. it shifts nice and tight with no hopping or skipping.
any help is appreciated immensly
