Dome lights

the dome lights will not shut off after the vechicle has been started and moving. I checked the override it is in the off position. It is a 1998 jeep grand cherokee. Has anyone ran into this problem

When you park it, does it still stay on?, if so, how long?. When the Vehicle is in motion and the dome lamps are on, does the chime ding?

no chime when in motion. and they stay on for about 2-3 minutes after its parked

Initially they would not shut off at all and it was a problem with the liftgate thinking it was still open. Now they stay on for 20 to 30 seconds.
