xj with very high oil pressure
My 92 xj with a 4.0 is running very high oil pressure .
The gauge goes all the way past the numbers.
Could it be oil sending unit?

Re: xj with very high oil pressure
I would start with the sending unit. Exessively high oil pressure will cause the oil to blow out the seals and out of other means of escaping the engine. disconnect the electrical connector to the switch and see if the gauge drops to zero. If it does, this verifies that there is no hard short on the electrical line. Replace the switch and retest.

Make sure it's not just a loose/corroded wire connector first!
