We have a 2004 Liberty 3.7L V6 who's check engine light has been on for a long time. We bought an OBDII Code Reader to scan for codes and it came up as: P0132 O2 Sensor Circuit High Volts (Bank 1 Sensor 1).

We are confused as to whether this even applies to the Jeep (one site mentioned these codes don't apply to all vehicle makes) and what the actual solution is???

From our online research we know the specific sensor to be upstream, probably the front one, but we're pretty lost after that...

We live in HI and they want to charge us $100 just to scan the Liberty! Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you!

Bank 1 sensor 1 means, left bank (driver side)upstream(before the catalyst). High voltage usually means it's open.
