    2005 GC 5.7L - Grinding noise Help!

2005 GC 5.7L, When i first start my jeep there is a grinding noise when i turn the steering wheel all the way in either direction; but after the initial turn or two the grinding noise goes away. Also, it only grinds when the jeep has been off for an extended period of time and then started ( if im driving, turn the car off and run into a store for a few minutes and then start it back up there is no grinding when i turn)

Could this be an indicator that the transfer case fluid needs to be changed? please help! Thanks.

Does it grind if you turn the steering wheel while the Jeep is not moving?

Do you know when the TC fluid was last changed? Wouldn't be a bad idea to have it changed with Mopar fluid for that specific transfer case.

I have an '05 Hemi Grand also.
