Just recently bought a 2001 Grand Cherokee with 168,000 miles 4.0 engine. I am using it to haul my tractor around and was looking for suggestions of what to do to it. So far I have replaced all 4 shocks, The hood shocks, the lift gate shocks and will be putting in a high volume oil pump later this week. Overall the jeep is in good shape and runs really good. Suggestions I am looking for is things to help with towing the trailer. Thanks.

The best thing you can do to help with towing is to install a transmission cooler like this:

assuming that you don't have one already.

Thanks Terry. I had thought of that and an oil cooler as well but had no idea where to start. I was also thinking of changing the springs to variables but could not find anything unless it involves doing a lift which I have no desire for right now. The Jeep has the 4.0 and I am amazed at how strong it is.
