Welcome to jeepz.com . The attached photos are from my 1992 Chrysler factory service manual . They should give you a start on diagnosing you no crank problem. No power from the " trigger wire " to the solenoid would most likely be a fault from the ignition under the steering column. You'll want to first be sure that it is the switch that is not getting power at its START terminal and why before removing it and replacing. The START terminal receives its current directly from the BATTERY terminal on the switch. As long as all other terminals are live with ignition in ON position and all else in terms of lights , accessories , ect. , and the switch is in proper adjustment , then it is likely the switch terminal for START is bad ( no contact ) . Exhaust all testing until your sure " it's got to be that switch " . Should you find that switch replacement is necessary , make certain it's properly adjusted and all functions work and DONT over tighten the mounting screws ! Just tight enough for the switch not to move when turning the ignition lock . Although this is from a 1992 manual , the switch will be similar but wiring codes may be different as they often are year to year on different models and/or makes.

Open the hood and find the ECU, its on the firewall in front of the passenger. Push the three black plugs really hard while someone turns the key. If it starts, find someone who has a good refurbished ecu for you.

You have the very very common jeep grand Cherokee ECU bad solder joints. There are tons of ways to attempt fixing but I could only fix by replacing.
