I have a swing out spare wheel carrier on my 4.0lit XJ. I believe these were a factory option for a short time.
Has anybody any documentary evidence that these were original fitments?
I am looking for a picture from a manual or brochure that clearly shows this so I can prove that it is original and not added later.
If I can't do this I will have to take it off for the purpose of a safety test. I have already had to take the chrome bar off the front and also the tow bar since they consider these were not original fitments from the factory, which is actually true.
I have also had to remove the LPG (propane) conversion because the testing station could not find any homologation papers.
