1. Transfer Case issues... cheapest option?

Hello! New user here, came here to ask this question as I have no idea how to proceed with this issue. Recently took my 04 Grand Cherokee into the mechanic because it's been making a new funky noise. A grinding/scraping sound coming from under the engine... thought it may be a pulley (wishful thinking) and found out it's my transfer case that needs replacement. What would be my cheapest option? Should I have it rebuilt? Should I go to a pick your part and snag one? Should I just purchase a remanufactured part? Please help!! I think I'm going to be selling it after this and a few more small issues get fixed.

Pick a part would be a good option.
