99 Cherokee Sport Problems

Hi, I have two problems.



one: there is a beating sound coming from right behind my glove compartment that gets more intense the longer my engine is on. If I turn the engine off though, and back on, the sound is slight again.



two: my air conditioning and heating make intermittant "racing" sounds when they are on.

The noise you hear behind your glove box is probably the evaporative system soliniod it is normal it is part of the emission system. the other noise is probably the blend doors finnally engaging. see if this happens more on the high ac blower speed than any other speed if it does it is your blend doors good luck[addsig]
