Converting brakes over

Have any of you taken the ABS master cylinder and pump off of a 89-92 XJ and replaced it with a hydraulic only master cylinder?

You see, for any of us un-lucky enough to have a early 90s?? XJ with the Bendix 9 or 10 ABS, you know what I am referring to. They stink.
They do not have a vaccum booster, the ABS pump is the boost and if the ABS pump fails and it can and will, you will not be able to stop your rig hardly at all. The Bendix systems were soooo bad that the Feds made Jeep warranty them for life, no matter miles or how many owners or how many times they get replaced. I just have mine fixed last spring at the stealership for nada.

I have read alot about ripping that crap out and installing a master cylinder and booster from a 94 or so XJ and all you need is a longer actuater rod and you have a perfectly good system.

I hope you all have heard of this before.

I don't see why it wouldn't be an easy changeover.

I've got the complete non-ABS brake setup from a '93 XJ if you're interested. It's in fine shape, I recently parted this jeep out. bountyhunter@sija.org .
