transmission cooler lines

I'm trying to replace the transmission cooler line on my cherokee laredo. I removed the entire line to get a better look at the quick connect. I see the 2 plastic tabs...now what? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Gently squeeze on the 2 plastic tabs and pull. The coupling separates....hence the term "quick connects". Since 1989 they have changed the line fitting from the radiator. I had to remove the origianl plastic quick connect and the line now fits directly into the longer transmission line. I added an "O" ring just in case, and I have not had a drop of leakage. I hope this helps others replacing the transmission cooler lines for the first (and hopefully only) time.
