cooling system

i just bought a 93 zj with 120k on it and my upper radiator hose bursted open is this common because the tow driver mentiond the he;'s towed alot of zj's because of this. should i put in a better radiator r just replace the hose?

Sounds like it could have just been old and worn out, I wouldn't replace the radiator right away. Put a new hose on, and watch the temp guage when you start it back up, to make sure there aren't any other problems.

Inspect the antifreeze closely when you drain the system, it'll give you an idea on the condition of the radiator.
