1994 cheroke laredo

Well just want some opinions! 1994 laredo for $700, Dude says when he exelorates there is a load bang! Thinks its either the transfer case or front suspention, I know a big deferance in those two diagnoses but for the price its not that bad what do you guys think. Any and all comments wellcome

A loud bang could be a large number of different things. The transfer case shouldn't bang when in 2wd, there's no power through the chain to the front output. The chain is generally what bangs if it is stretched and skips on the sprockets.

If it's 4wd, it's easily worth 700 in parts alone.

need more info. test drive the pile first. most people selling cars cheap have a good reason for selling them cheap. hope it works out but just remember cheap with problems isnt always so cheap in the long run.

After looking at it, it is a full time 4 weel.. Dont want it..

its a grand cherokee then. swap the transfer case with one from a wrangler, roughly 91 model, and you got a good jeep. i had a 93 and did hte swap and it was great
