Hey all. I have been out for a while. I just got a new 4.9 stroker to replace my aging 4.7. But, I am curious and a bit concerned if my transmission will be able to hold up to the new torque of the engine. The transmission has 150k miles on it and it is a auto AW4. I don't wanna shell out 1700 for a rebuild. I just want to make sure it will work before making any hasty decisions. Anyone able to help out here?[addsig]

it should handle it for awhile, a guy at school put a 12 PSI supercharger on his v-6 auto mustang round 100K and its still runnin fine 6 months later. we all predicted it would only last a couple weeks or so. its not really relevant as that is a ford and we have jeeps but depending on the torque comparisons between the supercharger and the 4.9 you may be able to get an idea. id say just take it easy on it and you shouldnt ahve any probs. altho i am no expert.[addsig]
