My 96 xj is doing something different
I replaced all these parts 2 1/2 yrs ago
Radiator 2x
Stat to a 185
Water pump
Everything works great. Good heat and everything. It's my girlfriends jeep so I don't get to drive it much.
Yesterday I noticed erratic temp gauge movement.
Has a slow rise to what I would imagine 185 or 190 and comes down but then goes back up and down. It's not fast it's over a 5 minute period.
Ideas? New stat perhaps? Is it normal due to it being 20 degrees out and the radiator is constantly cooling causing the computer to want warmth?
