one dim headlight

My 2001 Cherokee has one dim headlight. both highbeams work fine. both lights are new sylvainas. If this is a ground issue, where would I find the ground to fix it.

I don't know if they are side specific, but you could start by swapping the bulbs (move left to right, etc) and see if it's the socket or the bulb.

If the symptom doesn't move with the bulb, check the wires by tracing them from one side to the other. The wirings on both head lamps should join together in one wiring harness loom where they are spliced together. Check each wire for chafing, partially open or poor connection.

Got a 92 xj here. Had same issue. Finally got tired of the weak xj wiring and bought the off road relay kit from Autozone. Fixed
