Stripped Bolt

Im working on my 1996 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 4×4 's brake caliper and the top bolt just stripped where the caliper connects to the steering knuckle. What would be the quickest and best solution to fixing this problem?

the bolt is stripped or the knuckle? that is the deciding factor. if its the bolt, just get another from the local auto parts store. if its the knuckle, you can try to chase the threads and use a new bolt to see if there is enough bite to tighten it down properly, or hit the junkyard for another axle or axle tube

check with a professional* part specialist There is a repair bolt for this issue - just the thread portion is overszed and believe a tap sold with the special bolt - I think Doman #13894? will need to confirm right part for your MY jeep. But that's NAPA's job to get right #,

that's really cool that someone makes a bolt specifically oversize in that area for this issue.
