Drivers Side Tire uneven wear inside...and rubbing noise same side

Greetings all.

I have an odd issue on a 2005 Jeep Liberty (218,000 miles). The driver side front tire is wearing unevenly. Specifically inside shoulder wear. Additionally the driver side brake pad failed early. I did a brake job and all seem to work well, mechanically. However, at low speed there is a slight rhythmic rubbing noise on the drivers side. The convergence of issues specifically on the drivers side makes me believe I am treating symptoms and NOT the real problem.
Ideas anyone?

caliper slide mount bolts - binding not greased
You did NOT let caliper hang from hyd hose? let us know.

Wheel alignment - out spec
front hub bearing.

Caliper Slide mount bolts were my thought as well...will be pulling that side apart this weekend to check them... hanging by hose...lol...NO. when I purchased theses tires...they had trouble getting the Alignment in...they got it after serious work. The ONLY tire showing any unusual wear is the Driver side front...passenger side front is perfect as are all the others. The over all ride seems noisy, a low rumble ...I was thinking hub/wheel bearing assembly for both ...at 218K...they can't be in great shape.
