Yep I had a long block installed in my 02 Grand 4x4. The old 4.0 had bad wrist pins knocking after 216.000 miles. The local dealership did the work and it cost more than than the Jeep is worth but its less expensive than a new jeep. it comes with a 3 year parts and labor promise. I agree with the mechanic that an oil change should be done at 500 miles then 3000 there after. not regrets from me.

This is the first time I have ever installed a new engine in something I own. I have not bought a new car either. I have had over 20 jeeps of all kinds over the years. I usally buy them with some kinda problem and fix them up and drive them for a few years and sell them for more than I have invested. I think this 02 Grand is a keeper tho.
