P pushead New member Jun 7, 2004 #1 This is on a 88 yj IL6 non clip dana 35. I removed the axle shafts and the center of the pumpkin. How do I get the pinion shaft to come out? I want to replace the inner and outer pinion bearing. THe outer one exploded. Thanks

Snitty New member Jun 7, 2004 #2 take the bearing caps off... and then there is nothing else holding it in

P pushead New member Jun 8, 2004 #4 Had to take a punch and pound it in the center of the shaft where the little whole is from maching the shaft. Does any one have the tork specs to put the pinion bolt back on?
