front brake calipers question

89 YJ, NP231, Dana35

When upgrading to a SYE, does the u-joint at the t-case end of the driveshaft change in size? What's the Spicer part number for the u-joint? I'm considering having a shaft built in town (comparing to Tom Woods price) and want to have my ducks in a row before I get a quote. Thanks.

nope, no change.....I got a tom woods shaft when i bought mine from jb conversions and the CV joint broke inside a year...You can probably get one build to your specs locally for cheaper. Check out any semi-truck places, they build some nice.strong stuff.

Yeah, when I had my SYE installed I had my RR shaft build by a company that specializes in Semi truck repair

So what's the Spicer u-joint part numbers? 1310? 1330?

The spicer part # is 153x......I believe the considered 1310's...but you will not be able to fit any larger joints without changing the yoke and i dont think they make one for a d35..plus i dont know anyone who ever broke a front one on the cv part anyway...
