I'd like to know if it's normal in the YJ's for there to be about a 1/4" of play in the clutch pedal at the top. I just put in a new master cylinder because it was shot and it was the same with the old as it is with the new one. It's no big deal but the noise of the pedal shaking over every bump gets a little annoying. Almost every standard vehicle I've ever driven has had a solid pedal all the way to the top. If I can't fix this, I'm thinking about putting in some kind of sponge or bungee cord so the pedal doesn't rattle around. Or mabye I can space the master out from the firewall a little to pull the pedal up tight.
