lower control arms

I ordered the 4" standard Superlift kit. It doesnt come with control arms. But Superlift and the dealer I ordered it from said the kit has everything I will need to lift the Jeep. So what exactly would be a benefit of getting a kit with the new lower control arms?
Thanks!

You'll need longer lower control arms at that height. Too short of lower arms won't allow you to return the caster setting of the front axle back to where it needs to be. It'll cause all kinds of bad handling and promote DW (death wobble).

Anything around 3" and up really should have longer lower control arms.

According to this chart the lower control arm should be .58" longer than stock with 4" of lift: www.yuccaman.com/jeep/re_db.html#arms

RE: Re: RE: Beans or no beans in Chilli?

even the cheap Rough Country kit came with control arms .. I cant believe the superlift didnt...
what was that kit, about $700?

sorry, i guess it was a misunderstanding. I know them as lower control arms and I guess Superlift calls them front lower links. Thats what happens when you have minimum knowledge of the subject. The kit comes with them supposedly.
My mistake!
