Fuel pumps

50psi Fuel pump

Does anyone know where I can find an inline fuel pump that produces somewhere around 50-60psi. Just replaced my 2.5L with a Chevy 4.3L which needs 50 psi for the multiport fuel injection. I have been hearing rumors of a pump booster that can increase psi when placed in series with the original intank pump, but so far research has told me it is just a rumor. Chilton tells me the original intank pump for a 1988 YJ produces 14psi.

Most MPI motors use around 80 psi. Mainly the 4.0L. Are you runnig the TBI 4.3? If so you only need around 15 psi.

This is a Chevy 4.3 with Central Sequential Fuel Injection (CSFI) out of a 2000 Astro van. So I guess if the 4.0L MPI runs at 80 psi I could find a fuel pump for a new tj and retro fit it to my tank. Does that sound like more of a project than it needs to be and is 80psi too much for injectors rated for around 50psi? I can't find an inline pump with any pressure over 40 psi, the service manual for the van says I need 54psi.
