94 yj 4.0 squeaking

My '94 yj 4.0 has a squeaking sound when I crank it and let it idle. As I accelerate the squeak speeds up and eventually is not noticeable. When I completely stopped the squeaking usually starts again. Is this more than just a belt replacement? Thanks!

Bearing going out on idler pulley? Take a can of WD-40 and spray each pulley bearing one at a time and see which one stops the squeaking.

I tried spraying wd40 on the upper and lower idler pulleys and that didn't seem to work. I then noticed the squeak was coming more from the distributor cap. As I pushed on any one of the back three spark plug connections on the cap, the squeak stopped. Is this a distributor cap or rotor problem or a combination of the both. Thanks again!

Great that you were able to care of it without costing you an arm & a leg!
