Rear Bench Seat

Does anyone know if I can fit a bench seat into a Wrangler that woudl accomodate 3 seats(with seat belts)? A family of 5 is not condusive to older Jeep Wranglers.

I've never seen it done before but there isn't a whole lot of room between those wells. If you COULD squeeze three belts in the back, would you REALLY want your kids sitting there?

I haven't been inside of a new 4 door wrangler yet, but I'd imagine there would be more room there.

Another idea would be an old scrambler with and extra row of seats, or maybe some jump seats..

What is the measuerment between the 2 wheel wells?

I believe it's 36" up until '96 There were side jump seats available for the CJ 6,7 & 8
The 'Longitudinal Seat' shown on page 32 within this link may well not be legal today certainly with child safety seat reg.
