I broke the frame on the drivers seat a couple of weeks ago! Hard slide backwards down a steep muddy hill, Caught a deep rut, sudden stop, between my fat self and the extra pressure of the breaks being applied hard, The seat frame poped.
Long story short it is not that big of a deal removent the stock covers from a YJ high back seat. Frame system is sad to say the least. the frame poped in the front on both sides of the lower front cross member.
Removed the cover, folded back the foam, clamped the frame parts, and repaired the frame with sheet metal screw. Pretty sturdy for the time being. Put it all together and it looks fine.
A for your information note hope it will help someone. Still going to have to replace with really nice raceing seats.
so if you talk to Momma Tug tell her how it is a must that I get nice seat for my safty. water proof and 5 point raceing harness and really cool colors and bla bla bla. Thanks Tug
