'90 4.0 to an HO upgrade?

I have a 4.0 and auto out of a 1990 Cherk and was told that I could upgrade to the HO intake. My question is do I need the head also or will the stock '90s head work with the HO intake?
Trying to gather parts for an install into a '51 Willys wagon.
Thanks in advance.

Not much of an upgrade in intakes unless you use 99+ that has equal length runners. Why not use the HO head for a real benefit?

I know FSJ's but not Babys. Just do not know enough to know the HO head is the real improvement. If thats what your telling me.

Theres a guy back East that has everything I would need, but I'm afraid the shipping charges would kill me. That was the reason for the ?.

Thanks.

They're plentiful, I wouldn't ship a head across country unless it was free, paying shipping only.

The Renix head turns the intake shot 90° into the cylinder, the HO head mounts the intake higher for a less drastic turn to the cylinders, making for more power.
