Gremlins or Clockspring?

I'm rebuilding a wrecked TJ. The airbags deployed in the accident. I have replacement airbags but haven't put them in yet. Here's my trouble....

When I turn on the lights, the wipers come on

If i plug in the airbag and hit the horn button, the wipers come on.

If I turn on the left blinker, the wipers come on.

Would a clockspring cause this? Or do I have some other sinister issue to deal with?

probably a pinched wire, or bad multi function switch in the column (used to be a "turn signal" switch)

As a rule, when an airbag has been deployed, the clockspring should be replaced. Likewise on the impact sensors that has set the deployment. It may or may not affect the function of the multifunction switch. What yr. is this TJ?.

Got this one figured out..........there was a loose ground wire next to the left hand headlight, fixed the connection, problem gone.
