Sounds good, except the part where the head will need machining to make the valve springs fit correctly.

If you install this stuff, could you please let me know how good it is? And also please let me know how much of a pain it is to get the head machined to spec?

I put a new cam on mine; it is a Mopar Performance .450 lift 256 duration Mopar High Performance camshaft (the most extreme cam for the 2.5L that Mopar made for street use). It does improve the power of the engine, and I used off the shlef springs from Summit; no mod needed to the head.

I installed the same Mopar Performance cam that jfrabat did, I used valve springs from Mopar Performance for the increased lift and didn't require any machine work to the head. The Mopar v8's use the same valve springs.

You can still get the valve springs and retainers from Mopar Performance, but the camshafts are no longer in production and difficult to find.
