squeaky clutch

When I bought my 1995 YJ it only had 62,000 miles on it and when you pushed in on the clutch it made a squeaking sound... like a spring squeaking or streching, anyway I thought it would get better with some use but it seems to be getting worse... Has anyone else ever had this problem? Or anyone have any idea how to fix it... Its driving me crazy!!!
Any help would be appreciated...

I had the same prob with my z24 cavilear but it only happened when it was cold out. I ended up totaling it, it got rid of the problem lol but dont try that it's no fun

Sounds like the springs on your clutch pressure plate to me; most likely time for a new one, but could be the return spring on the pedal. Remember the hydraulic throw-out bearing system on a 1995 is closed and not adjustable/bleedable so if you are have any problems with fully disengaging the clutch it will have to be change as a unit and you might do that at the same time too.
