    Headlights Flashing

Out last night and my headlights Kept going out and then back on.
They would go out for a 2 to 3 seconds and then come back on but the strange thing is its only the headlights. Tail lights, Rear sidemarkers, (Not sure about front markers) and the instrument lights stayed on.
Anyone got any ideas where to start looking for the problem?

Headlight switch, cheap and easy to replace, the parts stores carry them.

If you have upgraded your lights, the factory switch/wiring don't seem to like it. Could be the highbeam switch too.

    Re: Headlights Flashing

Years ago I added 190/100W H4's to "Easy Bake" my black panel van, and immediately had this issue, I added a relay for each side and it cleared right up, later I altered the wiring as in those years of vans, Ford used 18 gauge wiring for the headlights, I upgraded from relay to connectors with 12 gauge and it's been bulletproof for over a decade.
Quick fixes are so named for how long they stay fixed.
If you run out of gas, no matter which way you decide to push, the closest gas station will always be uphill and in the other direction. Corollary: The likelihood of running out increases when all of the nearby gas stations are closed.
The parts shop that stocks part for Skylab II will not have parts for our year/model of Jeep.
