Time to get rid of the Smittybilt Nerf Bars & the Sahara trim. I'll probably pick up 4 or 5 inches in clearance. So who's rock sliders should I buy? I'd like them to it between the fenders. Poison Spyder's are nice, a red gloss under the spyder cut out would be nice.

Well, thanks for all the advice. They came today. Prime, Pre-Install, Remove, Paint and Re-Install. Going to look nice!

Smittybilt side bars removed and the Sahara side molding. Started priming the Poison Spyder's. I'll actually mount them to the jeep, drilling the holes in the body and trimming 3/16ths off the body lift bumpers to compensate for the sliders. Then I'll take them off and paint them black with a clear coat.

Time for a test fit and a little color behind the spyder.

Three coats of acrylic enamel gloss black. Hopefully by Friday they'll be bolted on.

Looks good. I've got Trail Gear on my TJ - they were pretty cheap and look like the same stuff.

Use stainless bolts to mount it. I used the included bolts with mine and the bolt heads rusted in a matter of days, making the whole install look bad.

Now comes the real hard part...drilling a hole into your jeep. For some reason putting that very first hole into a perfect side of your jeep is/was the hardest thing I ever did.

They look great. 3M vinyl behind them. Next step Teralex Teralow 231 with 2wd low and a Rokmen Belly Pan.
