hand throttle

Just got finished installing my hand throttle on my yj. Tried it out yesterday and all I got to say is....... Why did I wait.so long to put one of these in? Frickin awesome

I had one in my old CJ7 (it was a bicycle brake). It made a world of difference - mainly because the Jeep wouldn't idle..

Did you make it or buy it? Ive always wanted one but never even seen one. I usually pull the choke a little to get a few rpms.

I made mine. Went to a bicycle shop and bought a thumb gear shifter and 6 feet of cable and hard tubing with a few connectors for about 15 bucks hooked the thumb shifter up to my stick and ran the cable down threw the shift boot under the body and back up the fire wall to the throttle body. Cheap simple install and tons of fun.works great when out side if my Jeep winching and I can set it at a higher rpm.
