Temp Guage reading

Just replaced radiator and thermostat. My temp Guage is reading 3/4 on the Guage when before it always read at the halfway mark. Is this the normal range. I'm not trying to blow my motor up

Any chance you put the thermostat in backwards?

My 2cents so many quality issues for a simple old school part - I have added this to my OEM only list.
Customers often mention this concern.

Be sure to use correct temp use correct coolant... You can look at ECT with scanner if concerned

That is not normal.

What year and model, engine... Are we talking about here?

What brand and model thermo and radiator did you install?
Not all thermostats open the same. Some fail immediately.

Did you burp the system properly? Air bubble near the temp sensor will be hotter than the water.

Did you do anything to the temp sensor.?

id you burp the system properly?

That was my thought also. Not sure the reason why but jeeps are prone to air pockets in the cooling system if you just drain and fill.

Assuming all work was done correct and parts were correct.

Use scanner to observe ECT.

here is an old school trick - open thermostat and wedge an asprin to prop it open - Will greatly aid purging air.
