1979 CJ7 Heater Core Question - In and out hoses on heater Core

Just looking to see which is the in and out hoses
on the stock heater core of a 1979 CJ 7 Jeeps - or it does not Matter
the hose at both 5/8

The upper hose that comes from the thermostat housing is in. But in most cases it doesn't matter what way the fluid flows. Many do not have a directional check valve.

Thank you for all the help , It had a six cylinder in it -


I put a Chevy 350 5.7L vortex 1997 Motor will this affect the stock heater core?

No it shouldn't. It's a heater core. Hot water in and slightly cooler water out. The only concern would be if you ran a radiator cap higher than 18psi.
