'08 Compass Compressor

Hello

My Girlfriend has an '08 Compass. The compressor is shot and needs a new one. The mechanic told her a new one is $400.00 Canadian. She does not want to spent that much.
The Mopar Part # is, RL058228Al. I got that from using her VIN. I can order from the USA if needed. Are the after market units any good & if so, what is recommended?

There is quite a difference in prices between OEM and the after market world.
