2012 3.6 penstar cylinder head preventive maintenance?

I just purchased a 2012 wrangler rubicon with the 3.6 penstar engine. The passenger side valve cover is leaking so I did some research to see how hard it is to replace. While reviewing the gasket replacement procedure I noticed a lot of people having issues with cylinder heads on this engine. The engine runs smooth with no knocks or ticking. Iíd like to keep it that way. Is there anything I can do to help keep this engine running smooth aside from good oil and 3000mile oil changes. I did notice the intake seems to be pretty dirty like itís getting a little oil blow bye. I probably gonna get the oil separator kit. Do they make a more reliable head?

IMO other than addressing the leaky valve cover leave the heads alone. Continue regular maintenance on the engine, trans, PS, PB and coolant. My engine oil change interval is 4-5K with synthetic oil and its super ez.
