Another Stall Out/Idling Question

1988 YJ 6 banger, Carter Carb (rebuilt). The problem just started again...when the temp got colder.....idling rough, stall out at stop lites, or occasionally when decelerating to go around a corner it would stall out. What is the likely candidates for trouble searching? Also when starting the engine it would run rough for about 10-15 seconds and then sorta smooth out. The stall outs get my blood boiling mostly. My 90 would occasionally stall at stop lights, but then it got really bad, the vacume resevoir, vacume line popped off. The next time it was a sticky EGR valve. Time after that, a gummed up carb. and the last time a tired automatic choke.

Those carbs have so many pain in the ass problems. Save your money and your mind and upgrade to injection. Cheap to full blow 4.0L conversion, they are all head and shoulders better then the best carb.

Or start studying and become a great carb diagnosis guru. It isn't hard to do with just jeep carbs but you will be tested by monthly.
