Snapped my dana 30!!

At both universal joints on each end of the half shafts. Clean off. U joints snapped in half too.

How?? Mudding on July 4th!!! It was a hill... a big hill... with a lot of water and mud at the base. Mud all over the place.

But I made it up this supposed tough hill, after I made it through the water, where I'm sure I busted the half shafts. Thus, I made it up in 2 wheel drive what many there couldn't make in 4.

Messed up the ball joints on one end, seals... But I'm soo proud. Pics of the after math to soon follow.

Freakin' half shafts are pricey though. :? Yeah I know, I'm already looking for a 44.

Buy used until you upgrade, lot of D30 parts out there.

Usually the joint goes first and then takes the shaft with it. If you didn't have shafts that would hold a 297x joint, now would be a good time to find a set. 1995-newer had them factory.

I snapped the driver's side today, tore the ears off the outer. Had my 260x spares in there luckily, so I'll get my 297x originals back in there with new ujoints.
