well ive been trying to recall a song that i havent heard for a really long time and i cant remember it, i think one of the key parts of it is about "the whipper willow" its an old country song and i almost want to say it has a kind of gloomy feel to it, if anyone has any clue what im talking about, leave sumn for me

You're probably thinking of the "whippoorwill" - it's a bird with a beautiful, haunting call mentioned in boocoo country/folk songs. If I can recall some, I'll post 'em.

Any more clues, by chance??

well, the closest thing I can come up with is Randy Travis' Deeper than the Hollar.

My Love is Deeper than the hollar
stronger than the river
Higher than the pine trees
growing tall upon the hill
My love is purer than the snowflakes
that fall in late december
Honest as a robin on a
springtime windowsill
and longer than the song of the whippoorwill

nope thats not it, i kno that song. i almost want to say it had something to do with swamps and life and ahhh i dont know

well, you have Charlie Daniels Wooly Swamp

about the kids that killed a guy for his money then the swamp swallowed them up and if you ever go back there at night you can hear the young men screaming and you can hear that old man laugh

I thought of the Travis song too but I love both those songs, Seminole Wind and the Travis songs and I"m not even a country nut.

It's Jay Z... I believe it's called: "Big Pimpin". Yeah....that's it.

This one it?

Seminole Wind

Ever since the days of old,
Men would search for wealth untold.
They'd dig for silver and for gold,
And leave the empty holes.
And way down south in the Everglades,
Where the black water rolls and the saw grass sways.
The eagles fly and the otters play,
In the land of the Seminole.

So blow, blow Seminole wind,
Blow like you're never gonna blow again.
I'm calling to you like a long lost friend,
But I know who you are.
And blow, blow from the Okeechobee,
All the way up to Micanopy.
Blow across the home of the Seminole,
The alligators and the gar.

Progress came and took its toll,
And in the name of flood control,
They made their plans and they drained the land,
Now the glades are going dry.
And the last time I walked in the swamp,
I sat upon a Cypress stump,
I listened close and I heard the ghost,
Of Osceola cry.

So blow, blow Seminole wind,
Blow like you're never gonna blow again.
I'm calling to you like a long lost friend
But I know who you are.
And blow, blow from the Okeechobee,
All the way up to Micanopy.
Blow across the home of the Seminole,
The alligators and the gar.

Instrumental close.
