Ok, ok, I know it is a difficult task to narrow it down to a few songs out of the song library in your head, but please give it a try. I always like hearing new or old songs that are new to me....... my top few are, in no paticular order....

2: Freebird-Lynyrd Skynyrd
3: Honky Tonk Woman-The Rolling Stones
4: The Ride-Hank Williams Jr.
5: If Heven Ain't alot like Dixie-Hank Williams Jr.
6: Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound-Hank Williams Jr.
7: Hell ain't a bad place to be-AC/DC
8: Ain't No Fun (waitin' 'round to be a millionare)-AC/DC
9: Squealer-AC/DC
10: Whammer Jammer/Hard Driving Man-J. Giels Band

Re: RE: Durabak???

I dont have favorites, but I have some bands I enjoy listening to. Foo fighters, queens of the stone age, underoath, billy talent, cky, red hott chili's, and a bunch of other stuff.

Bob Dylan - Tangled up in blue
Metallica - Frayed ends of sanity
Kenny Chesney - Good stuff
Marshal Tucker Band - Can't you see

Oh, and as for new music: MTV killed rock and roll. Musical talent has fallen to visual stimulation (if what they show can even be considered that) with very few exceptions.

87 Comanche For Sale!!!!

My favorites tend to change over the years but if I had to name a few at this point...let's see...

Bob Schneider - Big Blue Sea

Soul Coughing - Screenwriter's Blues
The Cure - Close To Me
Urban Species - Blanket
R.E.M. - Belong
Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Johnny Appleseed
Orbital - One Perfect Sunrise

I'm sure there are others I haven't thought of, but these are favorites that I've listened to within the past few months.

Anything by John Prine or Steve Goodman. Early Dylan. Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robert Earl Keen, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Dillards............................man, there's just too many to list. I love pretty much anything acoustic, the old "classic" Rock'n'Roll, and a bunch of the newer stuff - try to keep an open mind.

OK, here's the Reader's Digest Condensed Version of my favorite song list (not all inclusive nor in any particular order):

Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here; Welcome to the Machine; Comfortably Numb; everything on Dark Side of the Moon;

Al Stewart: all of them
Johnny Cash: I Walk the Line; Ring of Fire; I Still Miss Someone; Folsom Prison Blues; Sunday Morning Comin' Down; A Boy Named Sue

Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody; Get Down Make Love; My Best Friend; Tie Your Mother Down; We Will Rock You; I'm in Love With My Car; Liar; Killer Queen;

James Taylor: all of them
Boston: all of them
Dire Straits: all of them

Roxy Music: the whole Avalon album
Talking Heads: Burning Down the House; Making Flippy Floppy
ZZ Topp: all of them
Van Halen: most of them
Bob Dylan: Knockin' on Heaven's Door (not that crappy remake some scuzzball band did that mangled the song)
Neil Young: Old Man; The Needle and the Damage Done; Cinnamon Girl; Heart of Gold

And so many others too numerous to list including songs by Roy Rogers and Buck Owens; 38 Special; John Denver; Laurie Anderson; Flatt and Scruggs; AC/DC; Def Leppard; Journey; Aerosmith; Ronny James Dio; Heart; Genesis; Phil Collins; Peter Gabriel; Eric Clapton; Jimmy Hendrix.....

as well as any classical music, new age, several of the "old" country singers and songs, jazz (older jazz, not fusion), swing bands (like the 40's music they played during WWII) and bluegrass.

Actually, pretty much anything but rap and disco......

lol I love Tenacious D as well.

These are my favorite artists:

Jimmy Buffett
Bob Marley
The Rolling Stones
The Eagles
The Beatles

Might not be my FAVORITE but i'm sure you'll all appreciate teh lyrics
LL Cool J - Back Seat

ah yeah
I wanna send this one out to all the jeep lovers worldwide
city to city, ghetto to ghetto
some flavor for you and yours
and your jeep

you're the type of girl that got class and style
still in all you need the backseat of my jeep once in a while
so I pull up to your door to give you what you're looking for
unh, hardcore
I know you wanna come...in my jeep
we can park on a back street
you're checkin' out my carphone, scopin' out my jewelry
let's do this in a hurry
air freshener is kickin', drive through for chicken
I know you need a good stickin'
that's when I see my man Snoop
peace, what up kid? loungin' duke
as I turn the corner, starin' in your cornier
you're gettin' hornier and hornier
I'm pumpin' up a blint tape (flavor)
you're legs is incredible, I do a double take
you're puttin' on your lipstick
I wanna give you this big fat...(yeeeaaa)
quick, I know a place where we can lounge and cool, don't sleep
(where at?) back seat of my jeep

[Chorus]
back seat of my jeep, let's swing an episode
back seat of my jeep, let's swing an episode
back seat of my jeep, let's swing an episode
back seat of my jeep, let's swing an ep'

I'm pullin' over near your building
I light a candle on the dashboard, we're chillin'
I knew a girl like you would love a scene like this
you got class but deep down you're real freakish
you got it all, but you never had a wild episode
that's when me and my jeep showed
up with the funk in the trunk and
hittin' it, we're spunkin'
I'll even get you drunk and tipsy
'cause I know you're feelin' frisky
you love it 'cause it's wild and risky
you got your eyes on the hood
you're up to no good
I took you in the back, you hoped I would
you got your black on black so stacked in the back
while I'm pumpin' in the CD I'll skip a track
windows are foggy
and, uh, back seat treats in the streets could be a hobby
and you ain't in between the Isley Brothers' sheets
I give it to you real raw in the backseat
that's how you want it, don't ya? (yeah)
you'll tell your girlfriends, won't ya? (nah)
don't lie
take it in your eye (why?)
so buckle up, buckle up
what's my name? what's my name? what's my name? what's my name? huh
I never knew a four wheel drive could be so live
I'll put your numbers in the archives
so take 'em off, and put them things on the mirror girl
it's my jeep and your world
you got it going on lovely, time to do the right thing
'cause I can tell you wanna swing

[Chorus]

we're bonin' on the dark blocks
wearin' out the shocks, wettin' up the dashboard clock
seats full of sweat, I told ya I would hit it
your kitty, kitty, cat, cat, was hungry so I fed it
workin' as a team
somebody, anybody [scream]
jump with me to the cash bar
I'll be like Bruce Lee in them skins goin' "waahhh"
damn, it's so good, the mad grip on my tip
you're still a nice girl but my jeep makes ya flip
you go wild and stick your toes on the roof (yeah yeah)
you're so cute, wit' your gold tooth
exstentions on the carpet
that nice round brown is my target
it's so firm, so cushy, it makes me feel mushy
I love it when it's pushy
but don't laugh, I'm serious with this (word up)
the back seat of my jeep, is priceless
you're climaxin', you're climaxin', it's full action
you love a good waxin', it's so relaxin'

unh, give me a hug
see what I'm sayin' love?

[Chorus]

RE: And you thought TRAINS were dangerous...

I don't know who sings is, I think it's Dr. Demento but I'm not sure it called "F#@K YOU I'M DRUNK" another drinking song

RE: Re: RE: tire advice for newbie

Wasn't Dr. Demento a DJ? Maybe he was an artist and a DJ but he definately had a syndicated show on Sunday evenings many moons ago. It was all too wierd.
