Knock off bumper...

I bought a knock-off bumper with some Christmas Cash. It is well made by a local company and based on the Warn design. Some modification is necessary. Picture of it on the jeep soon.

And... Why is it that things never come off cleanly? Busted off two bolts so far in this project including one at the back of my Warn Winch mount...

gotta pre-soak them bumper bolts with panther pee:grin:

I think that it's some sort of cosmic rule that things like that just don't work right. Either things don't quite fit like they should, or something is missing, and you've already taken things apart, or something breaks.

Here it is -

It was actually made for a TJ so it took some modification.

Now... I think I have to lose my Stealth status (in other words, the chrome grill has got to go...)

Lookin good! I agree about the chrome... it don't get ya home!

yeah man that bumper does look pretty good. but ur right the chrome needs to go. to be honest i really didnt notice it until you said somethin about it

I don't get it, I built my bumpers to stay ON my Jeep.

Why would you want to put on a "knock-off" bumper?

Is that like a "break-away" mirror?

I get so confused with this new technology.

ok the "knock off" bumper means that its not a name brand bumper its a lesser known brand. the bumper is meant to stay on the jeep.
